Show Dogs Must Have Pearly White Teeth

For 46 years I have dedicated my life to the breeding, showing and caring for my dogs. I have owned and bred a few BIS and BISS winning dogs. As a show breeder it is essential that my dogs have a mouthful of pearly whites to show the judge on examination in the ring and not a breath that could or would knock over a horse. The use of Bark 5 Dental Spray absolutely accomplishes this result with little to no effort on my part and no discomfort or danger to the dog. I start my dogs on Bark 5 at around 6 weeks of age. Their teeth are beautiful and white throughout their lives. Great health comes from addressing the total dog and starting with the health of their teeth and gums is an absolute necessity. Dental care is serious business for your dog and is not limited to just show dogs. By the age of three, and in some cases even younger, more than 80 percent of dogs show signs of gum disease. Most dog owners don’t give their pets any dental care. If left untreated gum disease leads to tooth decay and tooth loss. Bad breath (or Halitosis) in dogs is a result of bacteria being allowed to multiply and grow in your dogs’ mouth. Untreated problems can have a domino effect on overall health, leading to heart, lung, and kidney disease. I recommend it to everyone that I meet and can tell you countless success stories with the use of this product. I believe in it and Kerrie 100 percent and I know it works.... read more

Dental Health and Supplementation

We don’t like it. Our dogs don’t like it. Brushing their teeth. It’s frustrating for all and usually involves some good wrestling holds to get the dog to stay still. Yes, brushing teeth is important but there are other options to keeping your dog’s teeth clean and tartar free. Tartar is a yellow to brown build up on the teeth which houses all kinds of invasive bacteria. This bacteria eats away at the gum-line and also gets ingested with meals. High levels of this bacteria may lead to heart problems and other compromised organ function. Not to mention, the eventual rotting away of the root structure of teeth which can lead to abscesses and the subsequent pain it causes. Begin with a grain-free or lower carbohydrate diet. These ingredients turn to sugar in the body which feeds bad bacteria and we get overgrowth – thus tartar build up as well as intestinal whole body yeast. Whole food proteins with vegetables are best. Add a high quality probiotic/digestive enzyme product to help keep good flora in balance and help digest foods better. Make sure the diet contains balanced Omega 3/6 oils with Vitamin E to help reduce whole body inflammation. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil added a few times a week will help reduce bad bacteria in the body. A good large raw bone to chew on is also high on the list as it can help scrape away any existing tartar. If you are not a fan of brushing your dogs teeth – which does need to be done everyday for best results – use a Dental Spray daily designed... read more

Alcohol Free

Why is there alcohol in so many of the dog dental products on the market? The simple answer is because it is needed to keep the oil in them from separating out and the product from going “off.” If you mix oil (essential oils) and distilled water, it would separate out without the alcohol. The interesting thing is that there is no need to put essential oils in a dog dental spray. Essential oils are mostly in there to appeal to pet parents so the maker can call the product natural. In other words, the maker of dog products with alcohol in them wants to use essential oils to boost their appeal to the marketplace, and wants to add alcohol to extend product shelf life. It’s about choices. They could choose not to add essential oils. They could choose to use fewer ingredients and make a safe dog dental care product. They could choose not to add alcohol. The minute alcohol is added to the mix, it is not natural. Research alcohol’s long-term use on dogs on the Internet. It’s no secret. Alcohol long-term use for dogs is toxic. Do other people, pet owners and vets agree? Some do. Some do not.Like all controversial products, there are pros and cons. The good news is Bark 5 TM Alcohol-Free Dental Spray for Dogs offers owners a valuable alternative to dog dental care. Bark 5 TM is: * Hand-blended with three natural products that even humans use, grapefruit seed extract, grape seed extract, propolis and distilled water * Freshly-blended when ordered to ensure quality (shelf life, if stored correctly is up... read more

Dental Care

Dental Care is Paramount for Small Breed Canines Dental care is a much needed health requirement for all dogs. Small dogs (like Miniature Pinschers) in particular often have more dental problems than medium and large dogs. With that in mind they often need dental care, including anesthesia, which can be hard on small dogs, some of which do NOT tolerate anesthesia well. The overall health of a dog starts in the mouth. Bad gums are often related to cardiovascular disease, stroke, and a number of other related illness. In small dogs, you can extend the life of your dog by 5+ years by keeping their teeth and gums clean and healthy. Using a product like Bark 5 alcohol-free dental spray for dogs provides your dog with THE BEST all natural way to insure his or her health and longevity.
